Day 92 of 1461

Verse

“Look at the birds of the air; they do not sow or reap or store away in barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not much more valuable than they?”
— Matthew 6:26 (NIV)

Significance

This verse from the Gospel of Matthew in the Christian tradition reminds us of something deeply comforting: even in moments of uncertainty, we are not forgotten. Jesus uses a simple image—the birds of the air—to teach a powerful truth. Birds don’t worry about where their next meal will come from, yet they are cared for. If even the smallest creatures are held in divine care, how much more are we, as people with hearts, families, and responsibilities?

In today’s world, where political division, rising costs, and unstable systems make it harder to provide for our loved ones, worry can take over. Many are afraid they won’t have enough—enough food, enough work, enough peace. But this verse calls us to trust in something greater than fear. Whether we name that power as God, the universe, or the human spirit, we are reminded to lean into faith over anxiety, presence over panic. Across traditions, the message is clear: we are not alone in our struggle, and we are never without hope.

Affirmation

Today, I release the fear of not having enough. I trust in life’s provision and remain grounded in faith, compassion, and strength. I am cared for, and I will care for others.
