Verse
“Whenever there is a decline in righteousness and an increase in unrighteousness, O Arjuna, at that time I manifest myself on earth.”

Significance
This verse is a powerful reminder that when justice is under attack and wrongdoing begins to dominate society, the Divine responds—not just through miraculous appearances, but through people who rise with courage, clarity, and compassion. The Hindu tradition teaches that righteousness (dharma) must be restored when it is threatened. This isn’t only a spiritual call; it’s a social one too.

Today, many people are witnessing unfair treatment—being fired without cause, losing their jobs for speaking truth, or watching institutions crumble under political pressure. This verse assures us that such moments are not forgotten. It calls on each of us to be a vessel for righteousness, to speak up and act with integrity even when systems fail. Whether we see ourselves as spiritual or simply as people of conscience, the message is clear: when injustice rises, so must we.
